It’s that time of year again where Amazon Prime brings its big deal days to October for no reason other than “hey, we want a sale”. But don’t let the nonsensical business decision prevent you from scoring some excellent deals. I’ve found the best headphones for Prime Big Deals. While we’ve already rounded up a few deals in other categories (like vacuums, chargers, and microphones), I’m here with possibly the best deal you can expect to get.

My absolute favorite pair of headphones is on sale today, and for the first time it’s below $200. That’s right, a certifiably flagship brand of Bluetooth, noise-cancelling headphones is now just $188 at the time of this writing. But it’s Amazon Prime Big Deals day, so you have to pick them up today or tomorrow. Of course I’m talking about the Sony WH-1000XM4, the best headphones for Prime Big Deals.

I’ve been covering Bluetooth wireless headphones for the better part of a decade now, so I’ve tried my share of flagship offerings from flagship brands. My current top-tier favorites are the Sonos Ace Headphones for their sleek design and beautiful execution on audio and ANC. But before that, my go-tos were the WH-1000XM4s. When they were first released, they came in at a cool $350, which honestly was worth it for what you get.

Recently, now that Sony has developed two subsequent generations, the mark 4s are much more affordable, often available for $250 or so. A great price, that I always recommend to friends when I see it. Well now, on Prime Big Deal days, the m4s can be had for a shocking $188. That’s, like, Soundcore pricing! But as always, Prime days only going on for October 7th and 8th, so snag them before they go back to their other great price level.

The XM4s from Sony truly shine, even when compared to more modern contenders. First, their active noise cancelling was batting way above their price point when they came out, and even though other headphones do it better now, they don’t overshadow it by that much. I still use my XM4s when I’m out and about working in coffeeshops because I keep them in my bag, and the ANC still keeps me focused.

The sound and build quality are also great. The light, soft-touch plastic and nice, leather-esque ear cups sit comfy on my ears, and I can wear the headphones for long periods of time. I also like how they handle bass and treble clarity. One other small note that really works nicely for me is that these headphones still have a 3.5-millimeter jack that doesn’t require battery to operate! This is excellent to have in a pinch so you can just plug them into a laptop even if they’re dead.

You want an excellent pair of headphones that do it really well, but cut the price point way down. Seriously, no other headphones at this level operate at such a high execution. The XM4s were a no-brainer at $250, and are an absolutely ludicrous value at the current $188. Just get them.
